Come and take a seat in the cook school and watch how easy it is to cook great food at home. Afterwards sample what has been demonstrated and collect the recipes. *Priority seating now available. Book via phone (03 377 6994), on line or in person prior to the class. $10 per seat per class. Limited to 32 per class so seats are filled on a first book first seated basis. Further room is available to stand or lean.
May 4th Mariano's chorizo - This a FREE event Meet the Maker in store tasting 10.30am till midday Mariano Vivas has adopted Christchurch as home but this has not dampened his love for his home country, Spain. Mariano produces outstanding, award winning fresh chorizo and hot sausage. Recently added to his range is dry cured chorizo and fuet. Come and meet Mariano and taste his chorizo and Spanish salsa.
May 11th Paella This Spanish dish is easy to master when you know and see how. We will take you through the steps from start to finish along with what to serve with a paella. Paella is great for feeding a crowd, as a meal to share and for creating a talking point. *Please note this a repeat of our ever popular class in April.
May 18th Soups Learn the secret behind smooth pureed soups, how to create 'meal in a bowl' style soups from Italy and the key ingredients you need to get maximum flavour into your soups. May 25th Chocolate We all love eating it, but how do you know which chocolate to use in which dessert recipe and what if you don't like dark chocolate?
